What could you do with an extra $244 dollars? If it was my $244 in cash back, I might spend it on swimming with the pigs, dogsledding, zip lining, roller coasters, or something else equally adventurous! I’ve been there and done all of the above! My motto is and always has been work hard to play harder. Seriously though – what are you getting out of life if you aren’t living? Instead, you are working, sleeping, and repeating. The cold hard truth is that tomorrow is never guaranteed. Saving a stock pile of cash for retirement and putting off adventures until then means you might not ever get to go on those adventures. Don’t get me wrong, I love to save money! However, I save money so that I can live and go on crazy adventures with my hubby and family! Let’s get back to the $244 dollars. Would you be interested in getting that kind of money back from using a free app on your phone in conjunction with your regular grocery shopping?
Hear me out if you want to earn a couple hundred bucks back, without barely lifting a finger! I’ve been using a free phone app called Ibotta for a few years now. Actually, I’ve been pretty hands off, and only remember to go in and use it occasionally. Even as an occasional user, I have been able to rack up a decent amount of cash back! Basically, Ibotta gives its users cash back on purchases from grocery stores, department stores, warehouse stores, restaurants and more! If you’re not already using it, I assure you that you’re missing out on easy cash back. If you don’t have time to clip coupons, but still would like to save money, Ibotta is your app!
There are a number of different ways to earn cash back on your every day purchases with Ibotta, including, but not limited to:
- Linking your Ibotta account to store loyalty cards
- Taking a photo of your grocery receipt after you get home from grocery shopping
- Completing bonuses
- Mobile purchases within the Ibotta App
Once you’ve accumulated $20 in cash back, you can cash out in the Ibotta app. You can get your money back in the form of direct deposit straight to your Paypal or Venmo account, or you can opt for a gift card.
Honestly, the main way I earn cash back is by activating grocery items I plan on purchasing the next time I go to the grocery within the Ibotta app. I’ve even been known to pull up the Ibotta app in the grocery store, to see if there’s a rebate for any of the items I’m planning to purchase. After I select which items I might purchase from the store, I go grocery shopping and complete the regular checkout process. Depending on which store I shop at, I get cash back in two different ways. After shopping at Giant Eagle, since my store loyalty card is linked to the Ibotta app, Ibotta automatically credits me for the items I purchased. After shopping at Walmart, I simply have to upload a picture of my receipt or scan the code on the receipt. It’s as easy as that!
As a welcome bonus, this link will give you $10 in cash. All you have to do is download the Ibotta app, create your Ibotta account, and redeem your first rebate. You are literally a matter of seconds away from $10! What are you waiting for?!
If you have any questions about how the app works, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me! You can also list your question in the comments section below! As a reminder, I only recommend apps and products that I truly love. Ibotta is my favorite money saving app, because it literally takes a matter of seconds to make some easy money back on items I was going to purchase regardless!
